Every one of our projects starts off with one of our favorite things: getting to know you! We can work fast, but we like to sip our coffee slow and enjoy our clients first and foremost for the beautiful people they are. Our philosophy is that the best design is a product of great communication and deep understanding. We know every one of your projects has unique restrictions and goals, so we work with you to define exactly what you’re looking for. Don’t worry! We won’t be asking you to come up with the materials, shape, size, or concept! Our goal in the initial consultation is to get a grasp on the space, budget, and feel of your event or space. We love using visuals, sketches, and verbal descriptions to help you get inspired and think big!
Your consultation is meant to be broad, fun, and inspiring. You may not walk into it with a clear idea of what you want, but we can promise you’ll walk away with excitement for the next steps and potentially a mean case of coffee breath. Our favorite!
Now that we were able to get a good idea of your budget and event, we start the creative process! This is a really fun stage where we push the limits of the expected and start giving you visuals of the crazy things that are swirling around in our heads. We know that it can be hard to visualize (and frankly maybe frightening!) when we say things like, “What if we did an entire wall of straws that looks like waves coming at you!” So during this stage we actually draw that out with measurements and pricing included.
This is a creative process so don’t be shocked if we have to go back and forth multiple times in order to get it just right! That’s the great part of renderings: we can tweak the design, scale, or pricing of an installation without any financial oopsie-daisies.
You did it! You made it to the finalization of your custom art installation, and we are just so excited about it!
At this point, we have both decided we’re happy with the materials, price, and concept for your art piece. All there is to do now is put pay your final invoice and get excited! During this stage we will also figure out all of the details surrounding delivery and teardown (if it isn’t going to be a permanent art piece!).
On our end, we will be collecting all of the needed materials from near and far to start executing your design. Then the magic happens in our workshop! We pride ourselves on integrity throughout the entire creative process — our execution is no exception.
It’s the big day! Whether that is the setup day for your event or our agreed upon date to put this baby in your home, delivery day is always the most exciting part!
We have lots of different options for delivery, but could come up with a new one if your situation is extra unique and needs a team of donkeys to carry it up a mountain. We can make it happen! Sometimes the installations are able to simply be placed in a corner so there is no need for us to come and install for you; or maybe you already have a rockstar planner for your event that can execute the installation with just a little guidance on our end — think Ikea instructions but better. This is something that we will figure out in the finalization stage, so there will be no sweat day-of.
All there is left to do is enjoy your custom art installation! No doubt you won’t be the only one. Your installation is going to become a social media phenomenon when your guests are all done posting pictures in front of it and talking about how unbelievable your event/space was! #trending2020
